Larry's Plumbing performed a hydrostatic leak test on a sewer system in Canton, Texas. Using an inflatable test bag, technicians filled the sewer line with water through clean-outs and detected a failure—water stopped about a foot short of the clean-out opening, indicating a slab leak beneath the home's foundation. Isolation testing was scheduled to pinpoint the leak's exact location.
Today, we were called out to Tower Street in Canton, Texas, to perform a hydrostatic leak test on the sewer system. Using an inflatable test bag, we stocked up the sewer using the clean-outs and the flower bed in the front yard. We filled the sewer system up with water and attempted to get it to fill all the way to the top of the clean-outs.
The results were that the test did not pass. The water would not fill up to the top of the clean-out and stopped roughly about a foot short, indicating a leak somewhere beneath the slab foundation of the home.
We suggested the next step would be isolation testing to locate the source of the leak. We got that scheduled for this coming Thursday.
