A plumbing safety inspection revealed multiple issues requiring attention. Pop-up drain assemblies in all bathrooms were malfunctioning and need replacement. The home's tankless water heater, installed in 2009, is overdue for replacement. The customer also requested a bidet installation bid for the downstairs bathroom with multiple price options provided.
We came out today to perform a safety inspection on the plumbing system for the home. We went through and checked each of the bathrooms. One common theme I noticed in each of the bathrooms was that the pop-up assembly was not operating properly. I discussed this with the homeowner and he told me to go ahead and give him a bid for what it would cost to replace the pop-up assemblies. He also wanted us to give him a bid for the downstairs bathroom on the left side of the home to have a bidet installed. I told him there are multiple options for bidets, so he told me to give him three different price points so he can pick what works best for him and his family.
After checking all the bathrooms, I went through and checked the tankless water heater for the home. I noticed that the tankless water heater is from April of 2009. I let him know that that unit is well overdue for replacement. We're going to be putting together a bid on what it would cost to get the unit replaced as well.
I did not find any active two-way cleanouts for the property, so I wasn't able to scope the plumbing system. I did not notice any other issues at this time. I informed the homeowner of everything going on and told him I would put together estimates for all the issues that were found.
