Customer Gage in Royse City, TX called Larry's Plumbing about low water pressure throughout his home. The culprit? An improperly installed whole-house water filtration system.
What We Found
The previous installer had used undersized piping and failed to install a proper pressure reducing valve (PRV). This created a bottleneck that restricted water flow to the entire house.
The Fix
Our team installed:
- A new 1-inch PRV for proper pressure regulation
- PEX piping sized correctly for the home's demand
- A new main shutoff valve for easier maintenance access
The Result
Water pressure was restored throughout the home, and Gage now has properly regulated pressure that protects his plumbing fixtures and appliances.
