Called out to replace an outside frost-proof hose bib and a basket strainer in the kitchen sink. Upon arrival, we made a bid for the customer to replace both of those. After approval, we first started with the basket strainer. We unthreaded and removed the old one, then threaded on the new one with the new tubular connection. We reinstated water to check for proper operation.
We then went outside to the outside hose bib and determined that the faucet did not need to be replaced, just the vacuum breaker that was on it. We unthreaded the old vacuum breaker and threaded on the new one. We reinstated water and checked for proper operation. Pictures to text.
