A running toilet was identified and repaired during a residential service call. The technician investigated a reported leak, ruled out the sprinkler line, then located the faulty toilet inside the home. The fill valve was adjusted and tested multiple times to ensure proper operation. Water was restored and the meter confirmed the leak had stopped.

Key Facts

Called out for a potential leak on the property. Upon arrival, I did some investigation and isolated the sprinkler line, which was not the cause of the issue. I went inside and noticed there was a running toilet. I isolated that running toilet and determined that was the cause of the leak. I adjusted the fill valve, tested it multiple times, reinstated water, and made sure that the water meter zeroed out and was attached.
