Called out for stoppage on property, when I came out, the septic system sprinklers were running, and we could see no standing water in the mainline cleanouts, I told the customer it would be best to start with the camera so we could ensure that the system has stopped up before paying for sewer equipment, upon running the camera, we found a ball of roots immediately on the inside of the main line. I talked to the customer about it, and we decided to move forward with flex shafting the system. We unstopped the line and then used the flex shaft to clear the area so we could get a better idea of what we were dealing with. After clearing the line completely, we found that there is an offset in the sewer system on the main sewer. I told the customer that we would likely need to dig this up and repair, I am going to be giving them a bid for repair. Pictures attached.
