Called out previously for a water heater not working. We went upstairs and checked the heater and found multiple issues. The gas control valve was not working, the burner assembly had a bunch of soot built up in it, and the venting was completely disconnected. We also found improper freshwater connections as well as no drip leg on the gas system.
We went over options with the customer, and the customer chose to replace the unit. We came back out today with all the equipment necessary to replace the unit. We drained the old unit, removed the water heater, installed the new unit, and reinstated the water after replacing all of the freshwater, drain, temperature and pressure relief valve, and gas connections. We verified everything for proper operation upon completion and checked for leaks.
