Called out to replace two tank type water heaters with new tankless units. Upon arrival, we started by turning the water off to the property, draining both tank heaters from the attic, cutting them out, and bringing them both down.
Our next step was to build two new individual mounting braces to mount the new tankless heaters on. We then remade those with 2x4 and plywood. After those were made, we secured the new tankless units to the brace, installed new isolation valves, installed a new drip leg, installed a new catch pan, installed a new flood stop, and installed a new drain line.
We then reinstated water to the property, set up both units, checked for proper operation, and checked that there were no leaks.
While on site, the customer had also approved a bid to run a new gas line through their new range. We started by cutting an access hole through the attic as well as through the sheetrock downstairs in the kitchen. We ran a new black iron gas line down the attic to the stub out in the kitchen, threaded on a new shutoff valve, reinstated gas, and checked for proper operation. All pictures attached.
