Call out for a leak in the downstairs master bathroom ceiling. Upon arrival, we cut out the wet section of ceiling and determined that the leak was coming from the second story. We then went upstairs to the bathroom directly above the leak, ran some diagnostics on the shower, and determined that the leak was coming from the diverter inside the shower valve causing water to drip down. We gave the customer pricing on replacing the shower valve.
Once approved, we first cut out a section of drywall behind the shower valve to expose the full shower valve, then cut out the old shower valve. We replaced it with a new shower valve as well as new trim for the shower. We used the same oil rubbed bronze finish that the previous shower had, reinstated water, and checked all functions for proper operation. Fixtures attached.
