A residential water line leak was repaired by replacing the damaged section with new PEX line and installing a new house valve with ball valve. New connections were made using PVC by PEX fittings and glue joints. The valve was secured with peat gravel and a new housing box. All connections were tested and verified leak-free with the water meter reading zero.

Called out for a leak on the property. Upon arrival, excavation had already dug an access hole for us. We cut out the old house valve as well as the line with the break in it. We then ran a new house valve with a new ball valve and a new PEX line with a new PVC by PEX connection. Made a new glue joint. Filled the house valve with peat gravel and a new housing box.
We then reinstated water, checked all connections for proper operation. There are no leaks. The water meter zeroed out. Excavation will be back to backfill at a later time.
