Hose bib froze during winter
Work Performed:
Called out for frost proof that froze over the winter. After taking a look at it with the customer, we decided to remove one brick in order to ensure that the angle of the faucet is proper. After removing brick, we discovered that the frostproof was kicked back with backfall, causing water to get trapped during the winter and freeze. We installed the new frostproof with an angle downward toward the exterior that way no water can get trapped thus preventing this issue from occurring as long as there is no hose attached.
