Called out for a sewer stoppage on the building. We found that this is a common line and that several units were stopped up. We determined that the stoppage was likely between 70 to 100 feet, so we opted to get jetting equipment to ensure we could reach the blockage.
We got jetting equipment and created a temporary hookup at the water meter since it is accessible. Upon doing the jetting, we hit a consistent hard spot, but we were able to clear the stoppage after a little bit of fighting it. After clearing the stoppage, we cleared the rest of the line with the hydrojet, verified flow, verified proper operation, and then used the camera to determine what the cause of the stoppage was.
We found that there is a clean-out cap lodged into the pipe really far down the main line. After learning what caused the issue, we took pictures and video and put everything back.
